Its the start of the year 2015. Yes im a bit broke after my recently Christmas vacation in the Philippines. :) So, i thought of the following which can help us to generate additional income in some way or another.
1. Sell unused or unneeded personal items on Book-off
Yes indeed, this can be an option to get paid on some items you no longer needed in Japan. Book-off can be seen on pretty much anywhere, and it sells second hand items which are mostly in good condition. As my observation, they have so many stuffs just after new year for Japanese people tends to throw away old things as they believe old things need to be discarded to give way to the new and bring a fresh start. But one should be very sure if he really needs to sell his items in Book-off for they will be buying things from you in a very very cheap price such as a 30yen for an originally 500yen book. So if it weighs to have it discarded anyway than just adding to the pile of dust in your cabinet, then give it a go to sell it.
2. Sell a good condition item in Gaijinpot (
http://classifieds.gaijinpot.com/)
This is where all Gaijins (its the term which means "Alien" to their country or Foreigner) sell and buy some unneeded items by fellow gaijins or japanese themselves. It is not just limited for items but you can post anything like service such as Nihongo Lesson, English lesson or just strolling a pet for a fee.
As for now I am selling my 2 Nihongo Practice books both originally priced at 2000yen and Im selling for 1000yen.
The process is to sign-up and post as New Add. Then as the above picture shows, it will be subjected to review by Gaijinpot staffs and once approve, it can be viewed publicly. Transaction on potential buyer will just be meet-ups on the most convenient train station for both parties. Once I got the deal, i'll have it post in here.
3. Got my prulife insurance policy (

My husband and I have saved some from last year, and if we don't invest it and just let it stay in our bank account, chances are, it will only be there or be used and eventually gone. So, we decided to invest in Prulife PruLink Investor Account (PIA). Its both an investment and an insurance on the side. Its a one-time payment and leave until the money grows. Kindly read the link provided when interested.
4. Invest in Stocks. We have invested in Philippine Stock Market last 2013 through COL Financial (
https://www.colfinancial.com/ape/Final2/home/HOME_NL_MAIN.asp?p=1). We can say we profited but not that much, we're still newbies in terms of techniques on how to buy/sell stocks in good timing. But its good to know that we can have this vessel to invest and profit even we are not giant companies such as Jollibee or Ayala by just buying shares of stocks of our favorite and trusted listed companies. You can profit by 2 things, buy at a lower price and sell at higher price or stick to your favorite company and wait for its dividend payments, but beware that dividends are in sole discrepancy of the company whether to offer it or not depending on its performance.
5. Finally, I have decided to blog again and gain from Adsense, hence this blog. It is not much but since I love to share my experiences and thoughts, its better to get paid for it right? So hell, yeah, you need to bear with me and got to read my blog to help me thru my financial grievances. :)
Here is my first entry and so it goes my first piece of pie to share...
